Police said investigators are treating the incident as a possible rampage attack and estimated the number of casualties in the single digits, though authorities have not confirmed the severity of injuries.
Officers dispatched more than 15 patrol units to the Welfen-Gymnasium after emergency calls were received. A suspect was arrested in Schongau following the incident, and an assistance center has been set up for relatives and parents of students.
