Oliver Glasner was presented as Nottingham Forest's new head coach on Thursday, signing a three-year contract and immediately taking charge of his first training session.
Glasner arrives after two trophy-laden seasons at Crystal Palace, where he won the FA Cup, Europa Conference League and Community Shield. He dined with club owner Evangelos Marinakis in Athens to discuss the project before accepting the role. Forest finished 16th last season while cycling through four managers, and Glasner acknowledged the squad needs rebuilding following Elliot Anderson's sale to Manchester City.
The Austrian coach identified a midfielder, goalkeeper and striker as priorities, confirming that Tottenham's Lucas Bergvall is a primary target and that the club pursues a record fee for the Swede. Midfielder Xaver Schlager is close to a free transfer from RB Leipzig. Glasner hopes to welcome at least two signings before next week's Portugal training camp and said he will address tactical systems only after further recruitment.
