Nordea reported a second-quarter operating profit of €1.608 billion for April–June 2026, up from €1.599 billion a year earlier, as the Nordic lender proposed an interim dividend of €0.34 per share.
Total income rose to €3.032 billion in the quarter, driven by higher fee income, while net interest income dipped roughly one percent to just under €1.8 billion. The cost-to-income ratio improved to 44.0 percent, and return on equity reached 15.9 percent. Assets under management grew 16 percent to €505 billion, while corporate lending and deposits rose nine percent year-on-year.
Nordea guided for full-year return on equity above 15 percent and a cost-to-income ratio of 44–45 percent. The bank noted that the ongoing Middle East conflict continues to affect market conditions.
