Ericsson posted second-quarter net sales of SEK 52.7 billion, matching its reported revenue, while organic sales slipped 1% year over year as the telecom equipment maker navigates a leadership change and uneven demand across its markets.
The company's adjusted EBITDA reached SEK 6.9 billion and its adjusted gross margin improved to 48.4% for the April–June period. For the first half, net sales fell 8% to SEK 102 billion amid SEK 4.4 billion in restructuring charges. Ericsson returned SEK 8.2 billion to shareholders during the quarter.
CEO Börje Ekholm will step down on Oct. 1, with Per Narvinger succeeding him. The company cautioned that AI-driven component cost inflation may pressure results ahead, though it expects its Networks unit to grow revenue in the third quarter beyond typical seasonal patterns.
