Manchester City sign teenage winger Jeremy Monga from Leicester City

· Sports GBR

Manchester City have completed the signing of winger Jeremy Monga from Leicester City on a five-year contract running through summer 2031, securing one of England's most highly rated young prospects shortly after his 17th birthday. The transfer fee is reported at £12.5 million, with other accounts placing the base fee at £10 million plus add-ons.

Monga, who can play on either flank, made 37 senior appearances for Leicester, including seven in the Premier League. He scored one goal and provided two assists across all competitions last season.

The England youth international has set multiple age-related records at Leicester. Aged 16 years and 34 days, he became the club's youngest ever starter in August 2024, and three days later became the Championship's youngest goalscorer with a strike against Preston. His Premier League debut against Newcastle in April 2025, aged 15 years and 271 days, made him the second-youngest debutant in the competition's history.
