A 25-year-old bus driver was shot dead in his car outside a pub in Clapham, south London, on Monday evening, triggering a murder investigation that led to the arrest of a wounded suspect.

Auguste-Marie Bile-aka Amoa was killed on Willington Road near The Landor pub shortly before 22:00 BST. Witnesses reported hearing up to four gunshots around 10 p.m. A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder after arriving at a hospital with a gunshot wound on Tuesday, where he remains under police guard. A forensics tent was erected across from the pub as officers scoured the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector Claire Guiver is leading the probe. A family member at the scene said the victim was not the intended target, while reports indicated Bile-aka Amoa had volunteered as a youth mentor at a local school.
