A 23-year-old man has died following a shooting outside the Ikon nightclub in Antwerp early on 19 July 2026. Gunfire erupted around 06:00 at the venue's car park along Straatsburgdok Noordkaai, and the victim died shortly after arriving at a hospital.
Police arrested a 59-year-old Dutch national identified as Steven S. after he fled the scene by car. Officers later conducted searches in Lint, arresting several additional individuals connected to the case. Forensic investigators recovered evidence and reviewed surveillance footage from the area.
The victim was named by local media as Jonathan Pinas Sercinio, with reports indicating a prior conflict on the car park preceded the shooting. The suspect had previously been linked to a 2016 murder investigation in Suriname.
