Kuwait's military said enemy drones struck the Abdali border post on the Iraqi frontier on Wednesday, causing material damage but no casualties, defense ministry spokesman Abdulaziz Al Otaibi confirmed.
The latest strikes followed Iranian missile and drone salvos against Kuwaiti infrastructure earlier in the week. Kuwaiti air defenses intercepted incoming projectiles over Ali al Salem and Al Adiri without further damage or injuries, the defense ministry said.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed responsibility for attacks on US defenses, aircraft and military equipment at Kuwaiti bases, while Iran's Tasnim news agency said the target was a Kuwaiti base hosting US Air Force personnel. The defense ministry said Iranian forces launched drones toward northern Kuwait, and Gulf Cooperation Council states condemned the Iranian attacks on civilian infrastructure. Other Gulf hosts of US bases, including Bahrain, have faced repeated Iranian strikes in recent days.
