The fallout from Tehran's closure has deepened, with nearly 18 sailors killed since the conflict between Tehran and Washington began and roughly 6,000 seafarers stranded in the Gulf. India has ordered shipowners not to send Indian nationals on vessels crossing the strait after drone attacks killed two Indian sailors. About 15,000 Indian crew members remain stuck west of Hormuz.
