A homicide squad has opened an investigation after a passerby discovered the body of a woman in bushes near the Zeiss Major Planetarium in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district. The lifeless body was found in shrubbery close to the planetarium, authorities confirmed.
Police have not ruled out foul play in the woman's death and a homicide commission has taken charge of the case. Investigators were alerted when a pedestrian walking in the area spotted the remains.
The identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding her death have not yet been released. Forensic teams are examining the scene as detectives work to establish a timeline of events leading to the discovery.
