A presiding judge in Hamburg threatened Christina Block with an arrest warrant for allegedly obstructing justice, after she handed an expert witness a letter containing sensitive information during a court session. Judge Isabel Hildebrandt characterised the move as an attempt to obscure proceedings, though prosecutors said they would not seek an arrest warrant.
Block stands accused of commissioning an Israeli security firm to abduct her own children from Denmark on New Year's Eve 2023. A presumed participant from Israel, testifying under safe conduct, told the court her team had devised codenames for Block including "Ladybug" and "Lady C."
The court excluded the public ahead of expert testimony to protect the children involved. Separately, prosecutors are investigating Block for false accusation and defamation related to child pornography allegations against her ex-husband Stephan Hensel.
