Jütro Tiefkühlkost GmbH & Co. KG has issued a public recall of its Freshona Bio Beerenmischung erntefrisch tiefgefroren (300 g) frozen organic berry mix due to possible norovirus contamination, a pathogen that can cause acute vomiting and diarrhoea and poses heightened danger to infants, young children, pregnant women, the elderly and the immunocompromised.
The affected batches carry best-before dates of 17 April 2028 and 18 April 2028, with lot numbers L180426H3, L180426L3, L190426L3 and L190426N3. In Germany, the product was sold in Lidl stores in all federal states except Bremen, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. In Austria, Lidl and the AGES health authority jointly announced the recall, covering all Austrian branches.
Customers may return the product to any Lidl store for a full refund without a receipt. No other Jütro or Freshona products are affected.
