FIFA is selling pieces of the turf from MetLife Stadium, where the 2026 World Cup final will be played on July 19, with prices ranging from $450 to $3,000 per segment. The governing body expects to earn more than $11 million from the sale.
Each piece of grass is encased in a high-quality acrylic block and accompanied by a USB drive containing a certificate of authenticity. The four product categories are limited to a combined total of 2,026 units, and shipments will be restricted to the United States, Britain, and Europe after the final.
The memorabilia push comes as the tournament itself generates $8.9 billion in revenue, a 41 percent increase over the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
