Justin Bieber joins star-studded lineup for first World Cup final halftime show

Justin Bieber has been added to the roster of performers for the first-ever FIFA World Cup final halftime show on 19 July at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. He joins previously announced acts Shakira, Madonna, and BTS, along with Burna Boy, Gustavo Dudamel, Coldplay, and New York's PS22 Chorus. The 11-minute show is curated by Chris Martin and co-produced by Global Citizen and FIFA to raise funds for children's education.

The halftime entertainment concept was trialed at last year's FIFA Club World Cup final at the same venue, where the interval stretched beyond 24 minutes. The scaled-down format for the senior tournament final reflects efforts to balance spectacle with the sport's traditional pacing.
