Endesa first-half net profit surges 41% as utility raises 2026 earnings target

Spanish utility Endesa posted a first-half net profit of 1.47 billion euros, a 41% jump from the same period in 2025, and raised its full-year earnings guidance above 2.4 billion euros after the stronger-than-expected performance.

Revenue edged up 1.1% to 10.99 billion euros in the first six months of 2026, while EBITDA climbed roughly 20% to 3.24 billion euros. Gross investment rose 14% to 1.1 billion euros, with more than half channelled into the distribution network. The company's net debt-to-EBITDA ratio stood at approximately 1.6 times.

Endesa, which is 70% owned by Italy's Enel, revised its ordinary net profit target for 2026 upward, signalling confidence that full-year results will exceed 2.4 billion euros.
