Eight members of the same family were found dead inside a burned house in Grand Haven Township, Michigan, after firefighters responded to the blaze and discovered the bodies. Six of the victims were children aged between 5 and 15, while two adults were between 40 and 50 years old.
Several of the victims had suffered gunshot wounds, indicating a violent attack preceded the fire. The scene was apparently set alight after the killings, suggesting an attempt to destroy evidence.
All of the deceased belonged to the same family. Authorities have not yet released identities or identified a suspect in what appears to be one of the deadliest acts of family violence in the state in recent years.
