Swedish prosecutors have charged eight people in connection with a fatal stabbing at a beach in Stenungsund, Bohuslän, last week. Three suspects remain in custody on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, while five others have been detained in absentia for alleged involvement and have not yet been apprehended.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, 9 July, at the Hawaii bathing area. What began as a verbal dispute escalated into a physical fight, during which two men were taken to hospital by ambulance. One of them later died from stab wounds.
Senior prosecutor Sonja Seligmann is leading the preliminary investigation into the killing. Police have not released details on a possible motive or the relationship between the suspects and victims.
