DNA analysis has confirmed that human remains discovered in the Tarn department belong to Delphine Jubillar, the nurse who vanished in December 2020, ending a more than five-year search. The IRCGN forensic laboratory in Pontoise matched the DNA from the bones to samples from Jubillar, identifying them as the lower portion of her body, judicial sources said.
The remains were recovered on 16 July from a farm property in Mailhoc, roughly 15 kilometres from the couple's home near Albi, after her husband Cédric Jubillar confessed to killing her and disclosed the burial site. About 100 gendarmes searched the area along the RD600 route between Mailhoc and Villeneuve-sur-Vère.
Cédric Jubillar, who was convicted in October 2025 and sentenced to 30 years, was formally heard by the judiciary following his 6 July confession.
