The death toll from a fire at a restaurant and apartment building in Thusis, eastern Switzerland, has risen to four after two additional bodies were recovered from the wreckage on Saturday, following the discovery of two others the day before.
Police initially reported five people missing after the blaze broke out on the second floor late Thursday, but one was later found alive, and authorities confirmed no one remains unaccounted for. The identification of the victims is still ongoing.
Among the eight injured were two Portuguese nationals, one seriously and one lightly hurt. The Swiss public prosecutor and police continue to investigate the cause of the fire, with early indications pointing to the second floor as the origin.
