More than 300 companies are displaying over 2,000 exhibits at the World Robot Conference in Beijing, which opened Wednesday and runs through Sunday. The five-day event features over 150 product launches from prominent brands including Unitree, Galbot, and Imoga.

Exhibits demonstrated a range of capabilities: a clothes-folding robot by Molaibuyuan, a piano-playing machine from TermiTech, and humanoid robots performing synchronized dances. Two Unitree robots sparred in a boxing ring while others performed household tasks such as picking up bottles and arranging fruit. Xin Guobin, vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, pledged government support for the sector at the opening ceremony.

The conference coincided with Unitree's Shanghai trading debut, where shares soared nearly six-fold after an IPO oversubscribed more than 8,000 times by retail investors.
