Fernando Alonso, who turns 45 on 29 July and is out of contract after this season, dismissed speculation about his future at the FIA press conference. 'I do have a contract, so I'm not moving,' the Spanish driver stated, adding that he has 'zero doubts that Adrian Newey will deliver the best car on the grid sooner or later.'
Honda will bring a development engine after the summer break at the Dutch Grand Prix, following engine management issues at Silverstone and Spa that Alonso said made those races unenjoyable. Alonso expressed confidence the Japanese manufacturer would resolve powertrain problems in time.
