AS Monaco are seeking to terminate Paul Pogba's contract ahead of its scheduled 2027 expiry, with a financial settlement expected to be agreed shortly.
The move follows another setback for the former France international, who sustained a left thigh injury on Tuesday during a training session at St George's Park in England and required assistance from staff to leave the pitch. Pogba managed just 115 minutes across six Ligue 1 appearances last season, his only start coming in a victory over Metz on 2 May.
Discussions over an early exit are under way and are expected to conclude soon. Pogba joined Monaco on a two-year deal after the Court of Arbitration for Sport reduced his doping ban to 18 months, permitting his return in March 2025.
