The United States launched strikes against Iranian military targets for a ninth consecutive night, hitting the city of Tabriz and triggering explosions in Bandar-e Mahshahr, Bandar-e Emam Khomeyni, and Konarak early Monday, after targeting coastal surveillance, air defence facilities, and missile storage sites on Sunday.
Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday following a warning shot at a vessel, while the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it disabled two oil tankers in the waterway. Tehran also launched a large-scale drone attack on Camp al-Adiri and Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait. Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan reported coming under Iranian attacks, with Bahrain sounding air raid sirens and urging citizens to remain calm on Sunday.
Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei warned Saturday that the US would suffer 'unforgettable lessons'. The escalation follows the killing of two American soldiers in Jordan on Friday.
