Britain will share the intellectual property behind its Stone Cloak electronic warfare system with Ukraine, enabling Kyiv to mass-produce the tablet-sized drone jammers domestically, Prime Minister Andy Burnham announced during a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky at Portsmouth naval base.
Thousands of the devices, which attach to drones to hinder Russian air defence tracking, have already been supplied to Ukrainian forces. Zelensky expressed interest in signing a broader drone agreement and building a UAV manufacturing plant in Britain.
Burnham hosted Zelensky as his first foreign visitor since taking office a week ago, reaffirming Britain's commitment to Kyiv. The UK has provided £25 billion in total support since Russia's full-scale invasion more than four years ago. The leaders also met more than 200 Ukrainian military personnel participating in the Sea Breeze naval exercise. Zelensky is due in Washington on 28 July for talks with US President Donald Trump.
