Turkish journalist Burhan Can Terzi was detained on charges of spreading misleading information after publishing claims that Bayern Munich midfielder Jamal Musiala was set to join Galatasaray, authorities said.

The arrest was carried out on instructions from the Bakirköy chief prosecutor's office in Istanbul, which opened an investigation into the transfer speculation. Galatasaray categorically denied any negotiations for the German international, calling reports of a deal "completely false."

Terzi was released after initial questioning and fingerprinting, though the investigation remains ongoing. The incident highlights the sensitivity around transfer market reporting in Turkish football, where clubs and prosecutors have increasingly taken action against what they deem speculative or fabricated rumors.
