Yuki Tsunoda will race for Racing Bulls at the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort on Thursday, stepping in after Red Bull's Isaac Hadjar withdrew injured. The Japanese driver received the call while on holiday at a beach in Greece and was asked to fly to Britain immediately.
Tsunoda, who was demoted to Red Bull's reserve driver after the 2025 season, takes over from Liam Lawson, who was promoted to Red Bull as Max Verstappen's teammate. He will partner Arvid Lindblad at Racing Bulls and drove the team's simulator for the first time on Wednesday.
The Zandvoort weekend features a sprint format, though Tsunoda's participation beyond the Dutch Grand Prix remains unconfirmed.
