Andrew Tate, 39, and his brother Tristan Tate, 38, were arrested in Miami on Saturday by the U.S. Marshals Service on a sealed warrant, after British authorities requested their extradition on a raft of sexual offence charges.
The UK's Crown Prosecution Service announced it will prosecute Andrew Tate on 42 charges including seven counts of rape, sex trafficking, assault, and offences involving indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate faces 17 charges, including sexual assault, rape, and arranging trafficking for sexual exploitation. The alleged offences involve seven victims and date between July 2010 and August 2017. Hertfordshire police had reopened an investigation earlier this year into allegations from 2014–2015.
The brothers, who hold dual British and American nationality, are expected to appear in Miami federal court early next week. Andrew Tate first gained prominence on Big Brother in 2016 and later amassed millions of followers online. The pair left Romania in February 2025 after earlier detention there on separate exploitation charges.
