Ruben Amorim was officially unveiled as AC Milan's head coach on Wednesday, setting his sights on securing the club's second Scudetto star as he returns to management following his dismissal by Manchester United in January.

Speaking at Casa Milan, Amorim said he was honoured to take charge and drew parallels with his arrival at Sporting, adopting the motto "what if it goes right?" He confirmed the club's record signing of Gonçalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain for 70 million euros and expressed a desire to retain Luka Modric as a key reference point in the squad, while praising Christian Pulisic's talent.

Owner Gerry Cardinale said he selected Amorim to restore Milan's greatness. The manager, who signed his contract on 16 June, acknowledged past mistakes in England and apologised to United supporters. Milan will compete in the Europa League after a fifth-placed Serie A finish.
