Microsoft has raised prices for its Xbox Series consoles across Europe and the United Kingdom, marking the third round of increases since May 2025. In Europe, the Xbox Series X 1TB with disc drive now costs €799.99, up from €599.99, while the Series S 512GB has risen to €499.99. UK prices took effect immediately, with the Series X reaching £669.99.
The hikes, ranging from €150 to €200 depending on the model, come as surging demand from the artificial intelligence industry has driven memory and storage component costs up by more than two-and-a-half times in recent months. The 2TB variant has been discontinued.
Microsoft has reported a $1.7 billion drop in Xbox revenue, with hardware sales down 29% year-on-year. The company has also laid off 3,200 staff and sold five development studios. Even after the increases, Microsoft is still selling consoles at a loss.
