London police have seized 90 luxury and high-performance vehicles worth more than £8 million during a weekend operation targeting uninsured drivers and dangerous driving in central London, authorities said.
The Metropolitan Police conducted the crackdown from Friday to Sunday across Kensington, Chelsea, and areas around Hyde Park. Among the impounded cars was a rare Ferrari Monza SP2 valued at £3.7 million, one of only 499 ever built. Its driver held only a provisional licence and had no insurance. Police said the car had been in the United Kingdom for just one day before it was seized at a supercar gathering near Wellington Arch. Two men were arrested on suspicion of drug possession and handling stolen goods, police said. Authorities described this year's haul as the largest in five years of the operation.
