A man in his 50s was killed in a single-vehicle collision on the R505 near Dundrum, County Tipperary, on Thursday evening.
The crash, involving a car, occurred shortly before 5:50 p.m. on 16 July. Emergency responders pronounced the male driver dead at the scene. His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford for a post-mortem examination, and the coroner has been notified.
The road remains closed pending examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions in place. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses who were travelling on the R505 near Dundrum between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the day of the crash. Road users with dash-cam or mobile phone footage from the area during that window are asked to make it available to investigators.
