A 66-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Patricia Lashley, who vanished from her home in the West Midlands nearly three decades ago, authorities said Thursday.
Trevor Dunkley was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Monday. The charge was announced by West Midlands Police, which confirmed the development in the long-running case.
Lashley was last seen at her flat on Hall Street in Dudley in September 1998 and was reported missing shortly after. Her disappearance remained unresolved for nearly 28 years until the current prosecution.
