An international manhunt is under way for a British man suspected of murdering his wife and two daughters before fleeing to Zimbabwe. Bedfordshire Police identified the suspect as 45-year-old Ndodana Mkhanyisi Tshuma, who is believed to have boarded a flight from Heathrow Airport to Zimbabwe on a British passport on Saturday, two days before the bodies were discovered.
Officers forced entry into a detached house on Carnoustie Drive in Great Denham on Monday after receiving reports the family had not been seen for several days. Inside, they found the bodies of Nothabo Zandile Tshuma, 42, and her daughters Natalie, 15, and Nala, five. Formal identification has not yet taken place, and police say the suspect is known to all three victims.
Authorities have issued a CCTV image of Tshuma and are working with national and international agencies to locate him. Police said there was no wider risk to the public but patrols in the area have been increased.
