Prediction market platform Kalshi has launched a dedicated midterm election hub offering real-time forecasts on the battle for control of Congress in November 2026, aggregating betting odds alongside polls, fundraising data, and historical voting records.
More than $30 million has already been traded on contracts tied to winning the House and Senate, while traders across Kalshi and rival Polymarket have spent nearly $200 million wagering on the 2026 elections overall. The company says roughly three-quarters of its visitors browse odds without placing trades, using the platform as an informational resource.
CEO Tarek Mansour has argued that prediction markets cut through political polarization and reflect crowd wisdom backed by real money. The launch follows heightened scrutiny of political wagering: a teleprompter operator for President Donald Trump was placed on unpaid leave after allegedly profiting over $100,000 betting on speech content.
