The first full trailer for Ali G: Who Iz I? has been released online, revealing the plot of the upcoming sequel and marking Sacha Baron Cohen's feature directorial debut. The film, scheduled for release in cinemas on 23 October, follows the character as he navigates impending fatherhood. According to the official synopsis, Ali G's long-term girlfriend Julie is eight months pregnant, with British comedian Morgana Robinson playing the mother-to-be.
The project is a sequel to 2002's Ali G Indahouse. In the trailer, Ali G reflects on how much the world has changed since his last appearance in 2014. Baron Cohen originally retired the character in 2007 before briefly resurrecting him for awards appearances. The return was first signalled in July 2025 when Baron Cohen was spotted filming in character in Oxfordshire, followed by a public appearance at the Wimbledon men's final in a tracksuit bearing a modified tournament logo.
Ali G originated on Channel 4's The 11 O'Clock Show in 1998 as the self-described "voice of da yoof."
