Eurostar will begin stopping in Antwerp on trains departing London from 14 December, adding four scheduled daily services to the Belgian city, the operator confirmed.
The direct journey will take two hours and 41 minutes, trimming roughly half an hour off current travel times that require a change at Brussels-South. Northbound trains from London to Amsterdam already call at Lille, Brussels-South, and Rotterdam alongside the new Antwerp stop.
However, return services from the continent to London will not serve Antwerp because Antwerp-Centraal station lacks the dedicated UK border and customs facilities required for direct arrivals into Britain. Passengers travelling from Antwerp to London must continue to connect via Brussels-South, where UK border checks are in place.
