Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has publicly rebuffed an unsolicited offer from a male cosmetic surgeon to alter her appearance, saying she is content with her body and urging the public to focus on more substantive issues.
Frederiksen posted on Instagram on Monday that she had just returned from a trip to Ukraine, where she experienced air raid sirens, before receiving a message from an unidentified plastic surgeon offering to "fix that little spot on your nose." She responded that she did not need a male surgeon's opinion about her body and encouraged people to discuss something more meaningful than her appearance.
The prime minister wrote that she has lost count of the number of messages she has received about her looks, including comments about her teeth, hair, and a wart on her nose. She stated she is "perfectly fine" with her body.
