Allan Nascimento, a Brazilian mixed-martial-arts competitor who fought in the UFC's flyweight division, has died at age 34 after suffering an apparent heart attack while sleeping. He was discovered unresponsive on Monday morning and pronounced dead at the scene.
Nascimento had been under contract with the UFC since 2021 and compiled a 4-2 record inside the octagon. His overall professional MMA record stood at 22 wins and seven losses. He most recently competed in June, when he lost a split decision to Mitch Raposo. He trained out of the Chute Boxe gym in São Paulo.
The UFC confirmed the circumstances of his passing, noting he was found lifeless after the cardiac episode. No further details regarding the cause of death have been released.
