A three-year-old boy seriously injured when he was allegedly thrown into a crocodile enclosure at Johnsons of Old Hurst in Cambridgeshire on 18 June has been discharged from hospital after undergoing seven operations.
The child returned home a few weeks ago and is recovering, playing with toys and sleeping in his own bed, his family said. A GoFundMe page established for the family has raised more than £113,000.
Cambridgeshire Police arrested a 30-year-old man from Norfolk on suspicion of attempted murder and later released him on bail until 18 September. The suspect, who did not know the child, has learning disabilities and was visiting the site on a trip with carers. Police said he was assessed as not fit for interview, and an investigation into his care has been launched.
