First-half total revenue rose 6% year-on-year to $30.67 billion, driven by a 15% jump in oncology sales to $14.12 billion. The company reported a successful late-stage gastric cancer trial, though its drug ultomiris failed to meet the primary goal in a stem-cell transplant complication study. Farxiga sales declined 11% in the first half.

AstraZeneca increased R&D spending 5% to $3.7 billion during the period. Shares were down roughly 8% in 2026 as of the earnings report.
