Apple Inc. and Broadcom Inc. have deepened their manufacturing partnership with a deal to produce more than 15 billion chips on American soil, anchoring the tech giant's push to shift critical supply chains closer to home.
The agreement, valued at more than $30 billion, runs through 2031 and centers on wireless communication chips and networking technology. To meet the production targets, Broadcom is expanding and modernizing its facilities in Colorado, though the companies have not disclosed when the upgraded capacity will come online.
The pact extends a long-running supply relationship between the two firms, reinforcing Broadcom's role as a key hardware partner for Apple's devices while advancing U.S. semiconductor manufacturing goals.
