Andrea Kimi Antonelli set the pace in Friday's second practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix, posting a best lap of 1:45.944 at Spa-Francorchamps. The championship leader, who holds a 25-point advantage over George Russell, finished ahead of Lando Norris and Max Verstappen. Verstappen, who had led the opening session, expressed frustration with his car's performance and speculated publicly about his future at Red Bull.
The session was twice interrupted by red flags, including a crash by Pierre Gasly, who lost control of his Alpine and struck the barriers. Isack Hadjar will start Sunday's race from the back of the grid after receiving an engine-change penalty.
The Belgian Grand Prix at the 7.004-km Spa-Francorchamps circuit is scheduled for Sunday, 19 July.
