U.S. stocks ended the session higher on Friday as investors weighed geopolitical tensions against signals that diplomatic channels remain open. The S&P 500 gained 0.42% to 7,575.39, the Nasdaq Composite rose 0.29%, and the Dow Jones added 0.29% to close at 52,637.01.

Oil markets pulled back after earlier sharp gains, with WTI crude settling down 0.93% at $71.41 per barrel and Brent slipping to $76.01. Treasury yields climbed, as the 10-year note rose more than 2 basis points to 4.561%.

The moves followed a volatile week for U.S.-Iran relations. President Donald Trump declared the ceasefire deal "over" at the NATO summit in Ankara after American forces launched strikes in response to attacks on commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. However, Trump later said negotiations between Washington and Tehran are ongoing.

In corporate news, SK Hynix debuted on the Nasdaq with its ADR surging 12.76% to $168.03.
