The official death toll from Venezuela's 24 June twin earthquakes has been revised to 3,535, up from 3,342, with more than 16,700 injured and thousands still missing nearly two weeks after the disaster. International rescue teams were wrapping up operations as forensic technicians warned that mass graves may be required to handle the growing number of dead.

Heavy rains are worsening conditions for displaced families, with thousands living in tents for 12 days without regular access to clean water. Save the Children has warned of severe overcrowding and sanitation shortages in makeshift camps, while World Vision has assisted nearly 15,000 people across more than 4,300 households.

Interim President Delcy Rodríguez defended the government's emergency response, insisting there would be no social unrest. Classes resumed on 6 July in unaffected areas, though nearly 59,000 buildings remain damaged nationwide.
