Umbria Jazz 2026 has wrapped its 53rd edition in Perugia as the most successful in the festival's history, with more than 46,000 tickets sold and revenue surpassing 3 million euros, a 26% increase over the previous highs set in 2024.
The ten-day event hosted 500 musicians across 80 bands, averaging 28 performances a day, with headliners including Sting, Zucchero, Gilberto Gil and Elvis Costello. Paid concerts at the Teatro Morlacchi and Sala Podiani sold out, each posting a 38% revenue increase. Foundation president Stefano Mazzoni credited the extraordinary artistic programme for the turnout, while regional president Stefania Proietti highlighted a climate of harmony around the event.
Organisers announced that Umbria Jazz Winter will run from 30 December to 3 January in Orvieto, with Brad Mehldau and John Pizzarelli among the confirmed acts. Legislative assembly president Sarah Bistocchi described the results as a chronicle of success.
