Two public transit buses collided on Wednesday morning near Lidice in the Kladno district of the Czech Republic, injuring a dozen people and forcing the closure of a major regional road.
The crash occurred shortly before 7:00 a.m. on the I/61 highway near the turnoff to Lidice, between the towns of Buštěhrad and Lidice. Emergency services treated 12 people at the scene. One woman sustained moderate injuries and was airlifted by helicopter to the Central Military Hospital in Prague.
The I/61 road was closed following the accident, disrupting traffic in the area west of the capital. The cause of the collision was not immediately reported.
