Filming is underway on "Der bewegte Mann - Reloaded," a sequel to the 1994 German comedy that drew more than six million cinema-goers. Til Schweiger reprises his breakout role as Axel Feldheim, who crashes his gay son's wedding unannounced, three decades after the events of the original.
Hermine Huntgeburth directs from a screenplay by Judy Horney and Martin Gypkens, based on Ralf König's comic books. The supporting cast includes Jan Josef Liefers, Marie Bäumer and Rufus Beck.
The Film and Media Foundation NRW has granted the production 900,000 euros in funding. Peak Point Pictures and Gesellschaft für Feine Filme produce, with Vuelta Entertainment Germany handling distribution.
