ST ALBANS, England — Three men have been jailed for five years and three months each for stealing nearly £1 million worth of the weight-loss drug Mounjaro from a distribution centre in St Albans.

Mark Harding, 55, Robert Townsend, 59, and Peter Costello, 44, broke into the Phoenix Healthcare Distribution site on Handley Page Way on 24 January 2026 by climbing through a duct behind an air-conditioning unit. The group disabled internal cameras and made off with 79 boxes of the drug valued at £944,544. Harding and Costello then returned with Townsend to take additional boxes.

Police arrested the men on 11 February 2026. Over £60,000 in cash was seized from the homes of Harding and Townsend, and both admitted possessing criminal property. Harding and Townsend were later charged with burglary alongside Costello. The stolen drugs have not been recovered.
