Andrew and Tristan Tate will remain in US custody for at least two more weeks as they fight extradition to the United Kingdom, after US Magistrate Judge Lauren Louis set a detention hearing for 13 August 2026.
The brothers, arrested in Miami on 18 July, face UK allegations spanning 2010 to 2017 that include rape, assault, trafficking, and offenses relating to indecent images of a child. The new charges involve four additional accusers and stem from evidence provided by Bedfordshire Police. They already face separate UK charges relating to three other alleged victims between 2012 and 2015.
Britain has until mid-September to submit its full extradition request to the State Department. The brothers had relocated to Florida after travel restrictions were lifted last year.
