Spain claimed a record-extending 13th U19 European Championship title by beating Germany 2-0 in the final at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground, successfully defending the trophy they won in 2024.
Hugo Lopez opened the scoring in the 44th minute and Mario Rivas doubled the lead four minutes later, capping a remarkable tournament for Spain in which they scored 19 goals across five matches without conceding. The defeat was particularly stinging for Germany, whose last U19 final appearance was their title-winning campaign in 2014. Spain's women's side also defeated Germany in their U19 final earlier the same day.
The four semi-finalists — Spain, Germany, Ukraine and Croatia — qualified for the 2027 FIFA U20 World Cup, while Denmark beat Italy on penalties to reach the inter-confederation play-offs. The 2027 edition of the U19 Euros will be hosted in the Czech Republic.
